Bluetooth support is now available in KatanaMan and GT1Man, and GT1BassMan. This enables connection to the Boss device without requiring a USB connection to your phone/tablet. The connection relies on the use of a compatible MIDI/USB adapter.

Bluetooth support has been added to GT1000Mate enabling your android phone or tablet to connect directly to the GT-1000 without requiring a USB connection.
In July 2022 Boss released a firmware update (Firmware Version 2.0) for the Katana MkII amp.
This firmware update adds a significant number of new features and functionality improvements to expand the amp's capabilities.
